Are there tools that can help someone hang clothes with one arm?

I am currently supporting a client who works in clothing retail. They need a clamp like tool that can assist with the limited mobility in one hand. They struggle with pinching open the metal clips to hang pants, as well as pinching a very small area (end of a zipper while zipping up). I'm thinking an easy opening clamp with gripping rubber on the inside?

Being able to be as independent as possible in all aspects of life, including in our chosen work, is important, but limited mobility can make that understandably challenging. While our team could not find a device designed specifically to hold clothing pegs open, there are some tools that could make hanging pants and pulling up zippers with one hand easier. 

Here is an option you might want to explore to make pinching small items easier:

  • SOLEADER Plate Gripper (at Amazon Canada) has a long flat gripping head is designed to insert into the narrow space. The anti-slip silicone padding makes the handle easy to hold. While originally intended for pots, it could be utilized to grab onto clothes hangers and small zippers too. The product costs around $15 to $20(CDN), plus additional shipping fees.
  • Adjustable gripping tool, by North Coast MedicalAdjustable Gripping Tool by North Coast Medical (at Healthcare Solutions) is an easy-to-use and adjustable gripping tool which could help open containers and grasp hard-to-hold objects, such as smaller hanging clips. Here are some options you might want to explore for pulling up zippers:
